SCULPTURE

The Covid pandemic and ensuing quarantine offered me an unexpected opportunity to delve into my fabric and sewing roots, allowing me to craft soft sculptures. Stepping away from my usual focus on paint and imagery, I embraced a three-dimensional exploration of form. Despite the many challenges I faced, I approached this work without any intention of integrating it into my established oeuvre; instead, I aimed to perceive form from a fresh perspective.
This exploration enhanced my geometric compositions, and perhaps most importantly, it brought me joy to create these whimsical creatures during a difficult time. Throughout this period, I experienced a sense of freedom that fueled my progress, proving to be profoundly significant to my work ever since.
